During our lipdubs, we always take a good look at the location and the possibilities it offers. Sometimes we see that a location is exceptionally well suited for multiple shots and scenes. In consultation with you as a group, we can then choose not to film everything in one long take, but to record different shots and edit them together later into one dynamic music video. We call this a Knipdub.
So a cut-and-paste edit is basically a video consisting of multiple shots. This allows us to film in multiple locations and use the finest spaces and features of a venue. Think for instance of a large or new office, where we can feature various rooms and departments in the video.
Especially with a smaller group, a split-shot offers many possibilities. By working with multiple shots and different locations, we can go in many more directions and ensure a varied and dynamic music video.
Even with changeable weather, a cut-double is ideal: we can film indoors and as soon as it is dry go outside for extra scenes and shots.

During our workshop you will make an energetic music videoclip consisting of multiple shots. Perfect as a company outing or school activity, where collaboration and fun are central. You will meet our director(s) at the agreed location. After a short introduction, we will start with the lip-dub activity. We start by making teams, after which you choose fun props and accessories to make your scenes extra eye-catching.

1. Introduction and explanation – Our filmmaker welcomes you and explains step by step how the edit dub will proceed. That way everyone knows exactly what is going to happen.
2. Creating groups & dressing up - The group will be divided into smaller teams. Everyone will be assigned a role and can get changed into our festive costumes.
3. Repetition - Together we will decide which areas of the location we are going to use and practise the first scenes. This ensures everyone is well prepared and every group knows exactly what needs to happen during the recording.
4. Recordings part 1 and onwards – The first part of the knipdub is professionally recorded with a stabilised camera and musical accompaniment. After this, we move on to the other locations.
5. Group photo & looking back – We will take another group photo and some footage of the videoclip can optionally be reviewed on the camera already. But keeping the final result as a surprise is of course more fun!
6. Montage & resultaat – Within 5 working days you will receive the fully assembled knipdub video clip via email. A lasting memory of a unique activity full of fun!

Do you also have fancy dress costumes?
Certainly. We will bring enough equipment for the whole group, this is included. If you want to convey a specific theme, for example, it is advisable to bring some of your own as well.
